1. The Company:
The ‘Company’ means Car Moving Guys, (a trading style of Cowan Recovery Limited), and all customers hereby agree to be bound by these terms on their own behalf and (where applicable) on behalf of their principles.

These terms and conditions are based on the use of our Services to you via the Car Moving Guys Website.
2. Definitions:
  • Car Moving Guys/Our/Us/We: Refers to Car Moving Guys.
  • Service: The options chosen by you and the costs given to you by Car Moving Guys
  • Car moving Guys Site: our website, which can be found at www.carmovingguys.com
  • Booking: Acceptance of your Booking Request by Car Moving Guys.
  • Booking Request: The process of filling in the online form
  • Comprehensive Insurance Cover: Comprehensive insurance cover covers against physical loss or damage to your goods up to a value of £150,000.
  • Contract: Once we have accepted your Booking Request with your chosen delivery Services
3. Your Booking.
As set out above, Car Moving Guys will supply you with Price Options dependent on your requirements notified in the Booking Request Form. The information you provide on the Booking Request Form is used to produce the Price Options, any alteration to the information supplied on the Booking Request Form may subsequently alter the Price. Accepting a particular Price Option that best suits your needs and supplying Car Moving Guys with your payment details creates a contract between you and Car Moving Guys. Our Partner (Contract) and grants us authority to confirm to the relevant Partner that you have accepted the Price Option and that they will undertake the Services for you at the agreed Price.
4. Services.
We will arrive at the address provided by you and on the date agreed in advance of collection/delivery. Please note that any proposed change to the date and time that the Services are to be provided may result in a change to the Price, which will be notified to you in advance of the Services being undertaken. We will load and deliver the vehicle as agreed in the booking. Please note that if you wish to make any changes to the Booking, including on the day that the Services are undertaken, we must be informed immediately and any additional payments if required must be made to us prior to carrying out the movement.

Same Day: Collection within 4 hours where accessible (up to 22.00hrs) & delivered within 24 hours of job confirmation (subject to route & road conditions)

Next Day: Collection within 24 hours & delivered within 48 hours of job confirmation (Subject to route & road conditions)

3 Day: Collection & Delivery with a 3-day window during normal working hours (Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm) (*Please note - these rates do not commit to a specific collection or delivery time within this time frame- You will be notified of approximate time by telephone in advance. (Your vehicle may be taken to one of our hubs for onward delivery during the timed window) 

5 Day: Collection & Delivery with a 5-day window during normal working hours (Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm) (Please note - these rates do not commit to a specific collection or delivery time within this time frame- You will be notified of approximate times by telephone in advance. (Your vehicle may be taken to one of our hubs for onward delivery during the timed window) 

7 Day: Collection & Delivery with a 7-day window during normal working hours (Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm) (Please note - these rates do not commit to a specific collection or delivery time within this time frame- You will be notified of approximate time by telephone in advance. Your vehicle may be taken to one of our hubs for onward delivery during the timed window) 

10 Days: Collection & Delivery with a 10-day window during normal working hours (Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm) (Please note - these rates do not commit to a specific collection or delivery time within this time frame- You will be notified of approximate time by telephone in advance. Your vehicle may be taken to one of our hubs for onward delivery during the timed window) 
5. Delays
Car Moving Guys will do its utmost to deliver / collect the vehicle by the date and time requested but cannot accept any responsibility for delays resulting for reasons beyond its control. If the delay is caused by us and is more than 24 hours late, we will refund 25% of the job value covered by our service guarantee.
6. Liability.
a. The Company will take responsible care of the vehicle, while in its custody. This duty does not extend to items of personal property or business goods left in the vehicle. Customers should therefore ensure that all valuable items of personal property or business goods are removed from the vehicle prior to movement. whereby agreement with, or on the instructions of the customer, the vehicle is left outside a premise’s, any risk or damage howsoever occasioned, will be the customers responsibility.

7. Additional Extra’s
a. Timed Delivery Fee – This fee covers specific timed collection/delivery as requested by the customer.

b. Covered Transport Fee – This fee covers a covered transporter to move your vehicle.

c. Premium Insurance – Our standard insurance covers vehicle up to the value of £150,000, should you wish to increase this value you must select this option when entering the job on the website.
8. Additional Fees
Additional fees may be chargeable for waiting time, redelivery and jobs that are aborted outside of agreed rates. These will need to be paid prior to the movement going ahead.
9. Damage
Car Moving Guys will only cover damages that have been noted on the delivery POD clearly and is backed up by photos. We will not take liability for any damages noticed once or delivery agent has left the scene. If the weather is too bad to inspect the vehicle correctly, we will give 24hr grace to check the vehicle.

For Driven vehicles we will not accept liability for stone chips on either the paintwork or windscreen.
10. Cancellation
10.1 Consumers Statutory Cancellation Right.

The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 are not applicable to service contracts which provide for the transport of goods on a specific date or period for performance.

10.2 Postponement & Cancellation by The Customer.

Should you need to postpone or cancel the Booking you must notify us, in writing as soon as possible. If you cancel by telephone; we will write to you confirming cancellation. All postponement and cancellation charges are charged as follows:

i. Bookings can be cancelled at any time, but will incur a £25.00 plus VAT cancellation fee if the job has not been actioned.

ii. Actioned jobs will incur a £75.00 plus VAT cancellation fee if the job has been issued. Time-stamped reporting will be provided upon request to prove job has been issued.

iii. If you postpone or cancel the Services and dispute an agreed refund as set out in this clause or an issue relating to the Service, you must notify US as soon as possible, and no later than five days, by contacting US at info@carmovingguys.com or by calling US on 0333 301 1050.

10.3 Cancellation by Car Moving Guys

i. For driven movements - we have the right to cancel at the collection address if the information provided by you at the point of booking is incorrect i.e.no valid MOT, non-roadworthy tyres or any other fault that makes it illegal to drive on the road. No refund will be given for this reason.

ii. For transported movements – we have the right to cancel at the collection address if the information provided by you at the point of booking is incorrect i.e. Keys are unavailable, vehicle does not drive. No refund will be given but you may have the option to pay for additional services that are required. You will be charged accordingly and these will need to paid prior to us going ahead with the movement.

11. Your information
The personal information you enter onto the website will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please ensure you have read the policy prior to using/entering your information.

Car Moving Guys is a trading style of the Cowan Recovery Limited & service guaranteed by CMG. We are a limited company registered in England & Wales and our company registration number is 01339144, our registered office is 38 Market Square, Toddington, Bedfordshire LU5 6BS.
